Loving what you do is important to be happy with the work that you do either eight, ten or twelve hours per day……when a person loves what they do it will show. I have seen many people that do not like their job but they have to work to support their family, they go to work with heavy burdens from family issues, financial issues, health problems or car difficulties. They do not like or even enjoy their job and it shows in their attitude and in their job tasks, it reflects in the work ethics.
Started with a Dream
CPA is a designation for my future, it has been a long, long time dream of mine, since childhood to be exact. Accounting, cash flow, expenses, generating financial statements that will show the window of the company’s financial health status – ALL that a CPA does is a strong passion of mine, so……..how and where do I start with this heart’s passion to do this? These were just some of the questions that I started with before taking the steps. A dream starts in a vision, works on the heart, what your heart pursues can reflect your passion, your likes and character. What I have noticed in regards to my dream were the steps that were taken, hands on training in different areas of accounting like accounts receivable, cash applications, posting payments to accounts were one of my favorites, reconciling the accounts and locating any discrepancies.Accounts receivable and cash applications entailed quite alot, also depending on what industry I worked in the amount of posting, reconciling, researching and auditing, it can be alot meaning quite a few late nights and some weekends. It did not matter to me as I loved what I was doing, it was a wonderful experience, gained skills and became extremely knowledgeable.
